To appear for the JTO exam it is a must that the candidate should have completed either Bachelors in Engineering or Bachelors in Technology. It is a must that the course should be pursued from a recognised institute. The candidate should have specialised in any of the areas like Telecommunications, Computers, Electronics or Radio Engineering. Also it is a must that the candidate should be at least 21 years of age. Even final year students can appear for this exam. So sure you can appear for the exam in 2011. This is provided you have chosen any of the streams mentioned during graduation. The notification should be out any time in the month of February or March normally. Also the exam should be in the month of April or May. So you must start preparing for this exam immediately.

In order to apply for the BSNL-JTO exam, applicants should be graduates in Engineering or Technology. They should have specialized in Electronics, Telecommunication, Electrical, Radio or Computer engineering. If you have done your B.Tech in any of these disciplines, you are qualified for the test. Final year students can also apply for the test. As you are doing the concluding year of your B.Tech, you are eligible. Since you are 21 years old, you can apply for the test. The notification for the test will be published in the month of February annually. Refer leading employment dailies to see the notifications. BSNL conducts the test mostly in April / May months.

Since you are a B.Tech student you can appear for the exam on your final year ,also you must have specialize in any fields like telecom.......comp...etc the exams are also to be held on month of April or May................so you must hurry up and prepare for it all the Best...!!!

The eligibility for BSNL JTO is a BE/BTech degree in Electronics & comm., Computers, Radio engineering, Information technology or electrical.
The age limit is 21 to 30 years. The exam will be held in may-2011.

The eligibility for BSNL JTO is BE/B.Tech degree.
Your age should be 21-30yrs.
The exam is usually held in the month of April/May.Still the dates are not declared.Keep checking the BSNL website for notification.

When will be JTO Exam?

BSNL i.e Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is currently having three Exams 1.Telecom 2. Civil & 3.Electrical
BSNL conducts this exam once in three years.last time JTO was held in 2009 and next will be in 2012.

Eligibility:-

Eligibilities for BSNL JTO (Telecom):
BE/B. Tech or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the disciplines of Telecommunication, Electronics, Radio, Computer, Electrical or Information Technology.

Eligibilities for BSNL JTO (Civil):
BE/B. Tech or equivalent Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.

Eligibilities for BSNL JTO (Electrical):
BE/B. Tech or equivalent Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering

Basically JTO 2012 will be notified in the month of March 2012

Keep in mind that BSNL conducts this exam only if there is a vacancy for engineers , it means it is not conducted every yr.
Notifications are announced in February.

Every year the notification for JTO exam (junior telecom officer) for BSNL is relaeased in febraury.
In 2010 BSNL JTO notification, the number of vacancies were 3945.

Age eligibility:
The candidate must be over 21 years of age and be less than 30 years.
Age upper age limit is relax able by 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

The total vacancies under JTO 2011 - 2012 will be divided into

1. JTO Telecom

Eligibilty:
Engineering degree in any of the following streams Electronics, Telecommunications, Radio, Computers, Electrical or Information Technology.

2.JTO Civil

Eligibilty:
a Civil Engineering degree.

3. JTO Electrical.

Eligibilty:
an Electrical Engineering/Technology degree.

The exam will be held in the month of April/May . Selected candidates will be called for Interviews.
