    Its nice to see that you are aspiring to become an IAS officer.

    IAS is commonly known as Indian Administrative Services.
    To become an IAs officer you need to clear UPSC Civil Services Examination.

    You can sit for the exam provided you follow the eligibility norms:

    ** You must have completed your graduation in any stream.

    ** Final year candidates may also apply.

    ** Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    There is age relaxation given for reserved categories.
    SC/ST- 5 yrs
    OBC- 3 yrs
    PH- 10 yrs

    Number of attempts:

    4 in case of general
    7 in case of OBC &
    unlimited in case of SC/ST till they attain the age of 35 years.

    There are 3 stages of examination:
    Preliminary
    Mains
    Interview

    According to latest pattern Preliminary exam is known as CSAT.

    You have 2 papers in this:
    General awareness
    Aptitude test

    If you fulfill these requirements you can fil the aplication form. Civil services exam is held every year.

    for IPS

    To become IPS officer, you have to write Civil service exam conducted by UPSC. To apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course from a recognised board and your age should between 21 to 30 years, upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    IPS is one of the All India Allied services provided, once you clear this exam. The post highly competitive among aspirants. Designations like DSP, SP , Commissioner are given to passouts after training for IPS. After selection, you will be trained for two in IPS academy in Hyderabad.

    The notification of CSE Examination is going to be published soon next year in the month of February and eligible candidates may fill the application form online only.

    No, offline application form facility is applicable for any candidates in this examination.

    The examination is conducted in 2 stages, preliminary and Mains, Firstly, you have to cracked the preliminary examination, this is objective and there are two papers in this examination. If you cracked this stage, then you are eligible for Mains.

    The main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the optional subjects for Main examination.

    You have to prepared for this examination as per the pattern and syllabus, only then you will be able to cracked this examination, If you face any problem then you can join some good coaching classes.

    Indian Administrative Service Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year in a pan-Indian basis.

    Eligibility of IAS Exam:
    You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age (various relaxations are available for different categories).
    You must possess a graduate degree in any discipline of any of the Universities
    Candidates who are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear for the IAS and IPS Preliminary examination provided they furnish their proof of degree while filling the Mains form.

    There are no special requirements for appearing for the IPS exam as it is part of the Civil Services examination.

    Eligibility of IPS Exam:
    You should be citizen of India.
    You must have a bachlore degree from a recognized university.
    Final years candidates are also eligible.
    Maximum age limit for this exam is 21 years.
    The upper age limit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of government servents.
    You must be physically fit.

    Required Physical Eligibility for IAS and IPS :
    Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women (minimum height is relaxable to 160 and 145 cm for Men and Women respectively in the case of candidates belonging to ST.
    Min Chest girth fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women. Expansion of 5 cm for Men and Women.

    The Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages.
    Civil Services Preliminary Examination (Objective type)
    Civil Services Main Examination (Written and Interview)

    RTO Stands for Regional Transport Officer

    the eligibility creteria is as follows..........

    minimum qualification is graduate
    minimum 60% in 12th board exam.
    Candidate age must be in 21 - 30 years.
    Candidate should be citizen of India.
    No age relaxation is there .

    sir am passed Bsc (cs) 55% with grace mark in physics, can i apply for ips or state service exam psc

    IAS - Indian Administrative Service

    IPS - Indian Police Service



    This exam is conducted by UPSC and is held every year for the post of IAS and IPS.

    ELIGIBILITY NEEDED:

    Nationality:

    >> The candidate appearing for the exam must have a Citizenship in India


    Age Limit:

    >> The age limit needed for the exam is 21-30 years for General category candidate

    >> For candidate who belong to SC/St candidate is 21-35 years

    >> For candidate who belong to OBC candidate it is 21-33 years

    >> For Ex-service men they get 5 years exception from the prescribed limits.


    Education qualification:

    >> The Education qualification needed for the exam must have completed a Degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

    >> Even Final year candidate is eligible for applying for the exam.


    For the IPS Exam the candidate need to be Physically fit.

    Hi friend...The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IAS/IPS examination is graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university...And age limit to apply is 21-30 years and ->3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates ->5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates...And general category candidates can attempt only 4 times and OBC candidates can attempt 7 times and SC/ST candidates can attempt any number of times...For further details visit www.upsc.gov.in...ALL THE BEST...
