Re: Eligibility Criteria for B.Pharm course.

Since your daughter has passed her 12th standard in science she can surely go for Bachelors degree in Pharmacy. She may be required to appear for an entrance test depending on the institute she would like to join. She can apply for the 2011 batch as the classes for this year have already started. There are not many pharmacy institutes in the Anand district. Anand Pharmacy College is one institute in this district. She may have to move to the some other place to pursue her studies. If you do not want her to move to some other place she may have to look for other career options. She could take a BSc in any other field and then a Masters in the same. Thereafter she has options like going in for teaching by clearing the NET exam or go in for research or she could go for job.

Re: Eligibility Criteria for B.Pharm course.

The qualification criterion required to apply for the Bachelors’ course in Pharmacy is a pass in higher secondary examination. However, it should be from the science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Since your daughter has completed her intermediate exam in the concerned field, she can apply for the B.Pharm course. There is an entrance exam conducted prior to admission. Therefore, she should first attend the Common Entrance test for Pharmacy. The test will be held normally in the April – May months. You can collect the details regarding the test from all leading dailies. After clearing the test, she can get admitted in any of the well-known colleges. As she is willing to study in Anand district, some of the reputed colleges offering courses in the concerned field are A.R. College of Pharmacy & G.H. Patel Institute of Pharmacy (Self Financed) , L.B. Rao College of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (Self Financed), Rambhai Patel College of Pharmacy (Government Aided), Sardar Patel College of Pharmacy (Government Aided).

    Hey friend,

Yeah your daughter can do B.pharmacy as she has passed her +2 with science group. The other criteria's which she must possess are:

    Eligibility:

She must have finished their +2 with physics, chemistry, mathematics or biology with 50% aggregate. If she is opting some top institutes they would require 60% aggregate as the criteria changes.

As far regarding the course it is a 4 years duration course or she could do diploma in pharmacy which takes 2 years to complete and if there are chances of her doing a PG in it she could opt for doing M.Pharm which is a 2 years course and try for Ph.d.

After finishing her degree she can register herself in Pharmacy council as it may help if she wants to held up a pharmacy shop legally.

As far regarding the colleges in Anand district there are no certain colleges. She could opt to study in some other colleges by staying in hostel in gujarat.
