    Education Common Entrance Test

    Education Common Entrance Test (Ed.CET) is carried out to select eligible candidates for admission in to the B. Ed course. The same is conducted by the government of Andhra Pradesh to fill up the B. Ed seats in government-sponsored Colleges of the state. The test is carried out every year. The score obtained in the exam is considered as the main criteria for admission in to the course.

    Structure and Pattern of Education Common Entrance Test

    The exam is carried out in three separate parts. The first section includes questions on general knowledge and current affairs. The second and third section covers questions on teaching aptitude and methodology respectively. There will be a total of 150 questions. The candidate has to complete these questions within two hours. Majority of the questions are from the methodology section. There will be 100 questions from this section. The remaining 50 questions will be from the other two sections.

    Qualification Criteria for Education Common Entrance Test

    The candidates who have completed any of the courses of B.A./B.Sc/B.Com/B.Sc (Home science) are eligible to apply. Those who have completed B.C.A or B.B.M are also eligible to appear for the same. Those who are appearing for the final year exams are also eligible to apply. The degree must be obtained from any of the recognized university. The candidate should possess a minimum of 50% marks in graduation and post graduation courses.

    Application Procedure of Education Common Entrance Test

    The application form for the exam can be obtained from
    • General post offices or
    • University post offices
    The cost of application forms is Rs. 150/- . Another way to obtain the application forms is through the e-seva centers. One can submit the application through official site of EdCET also.

    where a candidate can

    OMR sheet and an
    information brochure.
    Candidates can also
    procure application
    forms from the e-seva
    centers situated at
    Hyderabad,
    Secunderabad, Visakh,
    Vijayawada, Tirupathi,
    Warangal. Online
    application can be done
    through the official site
    of EdCET.
    How to fill the Form?
    OMR sheets in the
    application form should
    be given special care
    and attention. Make
    sure the OMR sheet is in
    good condition .Do not
    fold or scribble on the
    OMR sheet. Use only
    dot/ball pens for
    marking or writing in
    the OMR sheet. Read all
    the information given in
    the booklet before
    filling.
