    DTU B.Tech (Evening) Entrance Exam

    The DTU B.Tech (Evening) Entrance examination is the competitive examination organized by the Delhi Technological University. It is held for the admission of eligible students to the B.Tech part time course. The university offers certain disciplines in engineering as part time course such as Civil engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering and Electronics & Communication engineering.

    The Delhi Technological University was first established in the year 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. Later the university was known in the name of Delhi College of Engineering and was affiliated to University of Delhi. It got the status of independent university as DTU in the year 1952. The university offers various engineering courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD levels. The admission to regular B.Tech courses is done based on the AIEEE. For the part time B.Tech course admission, the university conducts this particular examination.

    Structure and Pattern of DTU B.Tech (Evening) Entrance Exam

    The DTU B.Tech (Evening) Entrance exam is normally held in the month of June every year. This is a written examination which includes objective type questions. Like the entrance examination for regular B.Tech courses, this examination also comprises of topics from academics subjects of 11th and 12th classes such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each question in the paper will be provided with multiple choices from which students need to select the most appropriate one. Based on the score obtained by the students in this examination they will be given admission in their desired course.

    Qualification Criteria for DTU B.Tech (Evening) Entrance Exam

    Students who wish to pursue B.Tech course as part time from the DTU must satisfy certain qualifications as prescribed. They should have pursued a qualification in three year engineering diploma in concerned discipline from a recognized university. Also they must have served at least one year in any firm to be eligible for the concerned courses. However those candidates with more than one year work experience will be given first choice at the time of final admission procedure.

    Application Procedure of DTU B.Tech (Evening) Entrance Exam

    The interested applicants must submit an application form so as to get entry for this entrance examination. The information bulletin together with application form can be procured from the university office either by hand or by post by remitting the prescribed application fee of Rs.1000/-. The fee should be paid as bank draft drawn and that should be drawn from SBI only. The completely filled application form along with necessary documents of proof should reach the university office before the stipulated date and time either by hand or by post.
