    WBUT exams are held twice every year semester wise. Ever candidate pursuing their studies under WBUT needs to sit for the semester exams without fail. Failing which will make the candidate lose a valuable year.

    Pattern of exam:

    B. Tech in Information Technology is a widely pursued course under WBUT. There are a total of five theory papers and four practical papers in the 2nd semester of IT. The paper of Basic Computation & Principles of Computer Programming is a very important paper as it acts as a gateway for the students in the domain of Information Technology and Computer Science.

    Syllabus of Basic Computation & Principles of Computer Programming paper in West Bengal University of Technology Second semester IT exam:

    This paper encompasses the following concepts:-

    Fundamentals of Computer
    C Fundamentals
    Operators and Expressions
    Flow of Control
    Fundamentals and Program Structures
    Arrays and Pointers
    Structures Union and Files

    Duration of Basic Computation & Principles of Computer Programming paper in West Bengal University of Technology Second semester IT exam:

    Three hours is allotted as the duration of this paper. Questions worth 70 marks are asked in the question paper. Descriptive answers are to be written by the candidate in a separate answer sheet provided by WBUT.

    Scoring pattern:

    Logical, correct and informative answers fetch good marks. Illogical filling up of spaces with incorrect information is strictly discouraged.
