    Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University was previously called as Kota Open University and the name of the university is shortly called as VMOU. The university came into existence in the year 1987 as a pioneering institution for open learning in the state of Rajasthan. The establishment of VMOU took place with the amalgamation of two institutes for correspondence courses namely College of Correspondence Studies at Udaipur and Institute of Correspondence Studies and Continuing Education and Jaipur.

    About B. Sc course offered by the university:

    The Bachelor of Science course is offered by VMOU under the category of Bachelor Degree Programmes and the Part I of the Zoology subject offered by the university includes the following papers:

    • Diversity of Animals and Evolution
    • Cell Biology and Genetics
    • Gametes and Developmental Biology
    • Practical Zoology

    About Gametes and Developmental Biology:

    The Gametes and Developmental Biology papers is offered as Paper III in Part I of the Zoology subject of B. Sc (Pass course) and the course code for this subject is ZO-03 and the paper has three credits. The examination for this paper will be conducted for three hours and the maximum marks allotted is 50. The question paper will have 10 questions out of which five are to be answered.
