    Download University of North Bengal DDE Master of Arts in Political Science Part I Western Political Theory: Approaches, Models and Theories (Course IX) Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    The Master of Arts in Political Science course offered by University of North Bengal’s Directorate of Distance Education extends to a period of two years and the total marks allotted for the course is 1000, which is divided as 500 marks for Part I (First year) and 500 marks for Part II (Second year).

    About Part – I of the course:

    The first year of the course is called as Part – I and there are 9 papers in total in this part with examination being conducted for 50 marks for each paper thereby making a total of 450 marks. The remaining 50 marks out of 500 is allocated to assignment.

    2. Main Currents of Political Thought in India (Emphasis on Modern India)
    3. Indian Politics: Structure and Setting
    4. Indian Politics: Process and Issues
    5. Public administration: Approaches, Principles and Theories
    6. Development Administration (with special reference to Indian Administration)
    7. International Relations: Theories and Problems
    8. Contemporary Political Issues
    9. Western Political Theory: Approaches, Models and Theories

    About Western Political Theory: Approaches, Models and Theories paper:

    This paper is the final paper in the first year and since it is the ninth paper of the course, it is denoted as course – IX. Question paper for the examination for this paper will have 5 questions in total. Of these the fifth question carries 10 mark and this question should be compulsorily answered and any two from the remaining four should be answered with each question carrying 20 marks.
