    The Master of Arts in Political Science course extends to a period of two years and the first year of the course is called as Part I, while the second year is called as Part II.

    About Part I of M.A. Political Science course:

    The total marks allotted for the first year of the course is 500 and this includes 50 marks each for nine papers in the year and another 50 marks is allotted for assignment submission by students.

    2. Main Currents of Political Thought in India (Emphasis on Modern India)
    3. Indian Politics: Structure and Setting
    4. Indian Politics: Process and Issues
    5. Public administration: Approaches, Principles and Theories
    6. Development Administration (with special reference to Indian Administration)
    7. International Relations: Theories and Problems
    8. Contemporary Political Issues
    9. Western Political Theory: Approaches, Models and Theories

    About Contemporary political issues paper:

    This paper is denoted as course-VIII since it is offered as the eighth paper in the M.A. Political Science course. Final examination for this paper is conducted by the DDE of NBU for 50 marks and syllabus for this paper is divided into six units.
