The Master of Pharmacy course is offered by the university through its College of Pharmacy in different specializations like industrial pharmacy, Pharmacognosy, pharmacology, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, quality assurance and pharmacy practice. All these specializations have the same subjects in the first semester of the Master of Pharmacy course and one such subject is Product Development.

About Product Development Paper:

The present code number of this paper is MPU102 and Paper ID is 0123107 and previously (i.e.) before the academic year 2008-09, the code number of this course was MPU103 and paper ID was 0671106. The syllabus for this paper is divided into five units as follows:

• Unit I – Preformulation Studies
• Unit II - Pharmaceutical Process Validation
• Unit III – Stability
• Unit IV – Evaluation of Pharmaceutical formulations
• Polymers

Question Paper Pattern:

The question paper for Product Development paper will have eight questions and the total marks allotted for this paper is 75. Out of the eight questions any six are to be answered by the candidates with question no. 1 as compulsory question and any five questions out of the rest.
