Pharmacy education is offered by the Teerthanker Mahaveer University through its College of Pharmacy and pharmacy courses are offered at diploma, UG and PG levels by the College of Pharmacy. When it comes to Master of Pharmacy, the course is offered in different specializations as given below:

• Pharmacy practice
• Industrial pharmacy
• Quality assurance
• Pharmacognosy
• Pharmaceutical chemistry
• Pharmacology
• Pharmaceutics

These specializations have the same papers in the first semester of the courses, however some papers are offered to some specializations only and one such papers offered for Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacology is Fundamentals of Pharmacology.

About Fundamentals of Pharmacology Paper:

The present code number of this paper is MPL102 and Paper ID is 0123106 and previously (i.e.) before the academic year 2008-09, the code number of this course was MPL103 and paper ID was 0671106. The syllabus for this paper is divided into five units as follows:

• Unit I – Basic Principles of Pharmacology
• Unit II – Pharmacology of Autonomic and Somatic Nervous System
• Unit III – Pharmacology of Central Nervous System
• Unit IV – Drugs affecting renal and cardio vascular functions
• Unit V – Drug Addiction and drug abuse

Question Paper Pattern:

The question paper for Fundamentals of Pharmacology paper will have eight questions in total out of which any six are to be answered by the candidates, while answering the questions, it is compulsory that candidates will have to attempt the first question and remaining five questions can be chosen by the candidates on their own choice.
