    Tata Institute of Fundamental Research otherwise called as TIFR as the name implies is a research institution and it was established in the year 1945. The institute initially began its journey as an educational-cum-research institution and later it earned the status of a Deemed University. The university is presently offering courses in the faculties of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer and system sciences.

    TIFR Entrance Test for Computer & System Sciences admission:

    TIFR conducts entrance examination for admission of students to different courses offered in the aforesaid disciplines. Of the entrance examinations conducted by university, TIFT Entrance Test for Computer & System Sciences is conducted for admission of students to the courses offered by the school of technology and computer science.

    Pattern of test for Computer & System Sciences:

    The entrance test conducted for admission to computer & system science courses is of MCQ format and it is divided into three parts namely:

    Part A Common for Computer and system sciences
    Part B Meant for Computer Science
    Part C Meant for System Sciences

    About Part B Computer Science:

    As mentioned earlier, Part B is a meant for computer science questions and it will have questions from the following chapters:

    Discrete mathematics
    Formal languages
    Data structures and algorithms
    Fundamentals of programming languages and compilers
    Operating systems and concurrency
    Switching theory and digital circuits
    Theory of databases
