TANCET stands for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test and this examination is conducted by the Anna University on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu for admission of students to the different courses like ME/M. Tech, MCA and MBA for admission of students to these courses in government arts & science and Engineering colleges. In addition to these 90% of seats, 50% of seats and 30% of seats in government aided minority engineering and arts & science colleges, government aided non-minority engineering and arts & science colleges and unaided minority engineering and arts & science colleges respectively are filled through the TANCET score.

TANCET MBA Exam Pattern:

TANCET MBA is meant for admission of students to the MBA course in the afore-mentioned seats and colleges.

Structure of Examination:

The total 100 marks allotted for the examination is divided among the following sections:

• Business situation analysis
• Reading Comprehension
• Quantitative section
• Data Sufficiency
• Verbal ability

Scoring & Negative Marking for TANCET MBA Exam:

As mentioned earlier, the TANCET MBA is conducted for 100 marks in total and the question paper includes 100 questions with each question carrying one mark. One-fourth of the total mark is deducted for every wrong answer. There will not be any deduction for unanswered questions. All these 100 questions are multiple choice questions with 5 options among which the correct option should be chosen.
