    Punjab Technical University shortly called as PTU came into existence through an Act of State Legislature in the year 1997 on the 16th of January. The University is meant for promotion of pharmaceutical, management and technical education in the state of Punjab at the UG and at higher levels of education.

    Subjects offered in the first semester of the Bachelor of Technology course:

    Papers in the first semester are common for some branches of engineering and the subjects in this semester is grouped under two categories namely physics group and chemistry group. Here is the list of subjects offered in the first semester of the B. Tech course under chemistry group:

    Syllabus for Fundamentals of Computer Programming & IT paper:

    The code number of this paper is CS-101 and it is also called as BTCS 101 and the objective of this subjects is to familiarize the students of all branches of engineering with problem solving and programming in C++, operating systems and computer organizations. Syllabus for this paper is divided into two parts with Part A carrying 25% of total marks, while part B carries 75% of total marks.
