    Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University offers a number of courses through the schools and centres’ functioning under its control and the Master of Arts in Jyotisham or Astrology course is offered by the Centre for Distance Education functioning under this university.

    About M.A. Jyotisham course:

    This course is also called as Master of Arts in Astrology course and it extends to a period of two years. For seeking admission to this course candidates must be degree holders from a recognized university and they should possess an aptitude towards astrology. Notification for admission of students to this course is normally published by the university in newspapers in the month of April.

    Course fee:

    The centre collects a fee of Rs.3000 per year and US $150 per year for candidates belonging to foreign countries. The list of subjects offered in the first and second year of the course is given below:

    • Fundamentals of Astrology
    • Predictive Astrology
    • Vasthu Sastra
    • Muhurtham – Prashna – Gocharam
    • Tajakamu and Western Astrology Method

    • Samhitas

    About History of Astrology Paper:

    This is the first paper offered in the first year of the M.A. Jyotisham course and the annual examination conducted by the university for this paper will be for 100 marks. The question paper will have questions under two sections. There will be six questions in the first and second section out of which any four should be answered from each section. Each question in first section carries 15 marks thereby making a total of 60 marks for this section and each question in second section carries 10 marks making a total of 40 marks for this section.
