    Download NET Nepali (Paper II) Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by the National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) every year. The NET exam determines the eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. The test for JRF was started way back in 1984. However from the year 1988, the test is conducted by UGC which is known as NET.

    Exam pattern:

    For each subject there are three papers. The subject of Nepali is one of the subjects that is available in NET exam. Paper II of Nepali is an important paper and needs good attention, understanding of the subject and extensive study.

    Eligibility for NET exam:

    A candidate appearing in NET exam must fulfill the following:-

    ē Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Masterís Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. The Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Masterís degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.

    ē Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Masterís degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Masterís degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PH/VH category candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

    Duration of Nepali (Paper II) in NET Exam:

    The paper of Nepali is of 1 and ľ hours of duration. More precisely it is of 75 minutes in duration. The total marks of the paper are 100, the number of questions being 50 and of objective type. Questions are based on the language Nepali and candidate should be thorough with this subject to score the maximum marks.
