National Institute of Technology MCA Entrance Test is shortly called as NIMCET and this examination is conducted by the National Institute of Technologies in India for admission of candidates to the Master of Computer Application course.

Eligibility requirement to apply for NIMCET Examination:

To apply to the NIMCET examination, candidates must have secured not less than 60% of marks in the each of the following examinations:

• Higher secondary level
• Three-year full-time UG degree from a recognized university with mathematics/statistics/business mathematics as one of the subjects in any of the year or semester
• Even candidates appearing for the qualifying examination are eligible to apply

Pattern of NIMCET exam paper:

NIMCET exam is normally conducted every year during the month of May/June and it will have questions of multiple choice format and there will be 120 questions divided as follows:

• Mathematics – 40 questions
• Computer Awareness – 10 questions
• Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning – 55 questions
• General English – 15 questions

Scoring Pattern:

Each question carries four marks and one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. If a question is not attempted there will not be any credit. Candidates will have to mark responses in OMR Sheet.
