    The Directorate of Distance Education of Kuvempu University was established with the objective of offering courses through distance education mode with the same standard of education as in regular courses.

    About Bachelor of Science in Sc Zoology course offered by the DDE of Kuvempu University:

    Kuvempu University offers Bachelor of Science in zoology as a three-year course and for getting into this course, candidates must have completed their Pre-University or equivalent examination in science stream.

    Papers in the B. Sc Zoology course:

    The B. Sc Zoology course offered by Kuvempu University through distance education includes many subjects and the names of some of them are given below:

    Non-Chordata, Chordata, Palaentology and Zoogeography
    Histology, Comparative Anatomy, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Physiology
    Cell Biology, genetics, evolution, apiculture and sericulture
    Developmental biology, environmental biology, ethology, inland fisheries and wild life management

    Pattern of Non-Chordata, Chordata, Palaentology and Zoogeography paper:

    Of the aforesaid papers in the B. Sc zoology course offered by the Kuvempu University through distance education, the paper of Non-Chordata, Chordata, Palaentology and Zoogeography is called as Paper-I and it is offered in the first year of the course. The examination is conducted for 85 marks in total for three hours duration. The question paper will have four sections, namely I, II, III and IV. The total 85 marks is divided among the four sections as 12 marks for I part, 18 marks for II part, 35 marks for III part and 20 marks for IV Part.
