The Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) course under JNTU is quite popular. The trait of Mechanical Engineering in B. Tech is an important one. In the 3rd year of this course there is an important paper named Metrology and Surface Engineering. It is a subjective paper and contains theoretical as well as numerical questions. Total no. of questions in the paper are 8 and 5 from it has to be solved. All questions are of long answer type and each question is of 16 marks. Questions in the paper are such as surface cleaning, lathe machine tool and functions of it, flattening of a surface plate etc. Few questions asked in the paper are further divided into sub-questions. Total marks in the paper are 80.
