    Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is shortly called as ICAI and the institute offers Chartered Accountancy course in different levels in the names of Integrated Professional Competence (IPCC), Professional Competence Course (PCC) and Final course.

    About IPCC course:

    IPCC is the first level course after a candidate finds entry into the CA course through CPT Examination, which the entrance examination conducted for this purpose. IPCC course is divided into two groups and the subjects offered under each of these groups are given below:

    Group I:

    • Accounting
    • Business Law, Ethics and Communication
    • Cost Accounting and Financial Management
    • Taxation

    Group II:

    • Advanced Accounting
    • Auditing and Insurance
    • Information Technology and Strategic Management

    Syllabus for Accounting Paper:

    This is the first paper offered under Group I of Integrated Professional Competence Course of ICAI and the syllabus for this paper includes the following:
    • Accounting Standards
    • Company Accounts
    • Average Due date, accounting current, self-balancing ledgers
    • Financial Statement of non-profit organizations
    • Accounts from incomplete records
    • Accounting for special transactions
    • Issues in partnership accounts
    • Accounting in computerized environment

    Pattern of Accounting paper:

    Question paper for Accounting paper will have 7 questions in total and out of these the first question should be compulsorily answered by candidates and any five out of the remaining 6 questions are to be answered. Total weightage of the paper is 100 to be completed within three hours.
