    Download Indira Gandhi National Open University OPENDEN Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    Right from its inception in the year 1985, Indira Gandhi National Open University shortly called as IGNOU has been contributing significantly towards the development of higher education in the nation through distance and open learning mode. The university is popularly known as people’s university and it offers nearly 338 programmes of study through 3500 courses.

    About OPENDEN Exam conducted by IGNOU:

    From the academic year 2008-2009, Indira Gandhi National Open University has been conducting
    OPENDEN examination expanded as IGNOU Dental Examination for admission of students to the following courses:

    • Post Graduate Certificate in Oral Implantology (PGCOI)
    • Post Graduate Certificate in Endodontics (PGCE)

    These courses have been developed by the university in collaboration with the Dental Council of India.

    Eligibility requirement for taking up OPENDEN Exam:

    Since PG certificate in Oral Implantology and Endodontics courses are meant for dentists, candidates with BDS from an institution recognized by the Dental Council of India with compulsory internship completion certificate are eligible to apply for the OPENDEN Examination.

    Question paper pattern:

    The OPENDEN examination is conducted once in a year by IGNOU and the examination is conducted for 90 marks with a duration of 120 minutes. The question paper will have 90 multiple choice questions of which the correct answer is to be chosen by the candidates.

    Dentists, who wish to take up PG certificate course in Oral Implantology/Endodontics from IGNOU can download previous years question papers of OPENDEN examination for practice.
