    Download Indian Forest Service Statistics Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination every year to recruit personnel in the Forest Services, India. It is the third big name after the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IAS). This examination is conducted all over India by the UPSC.

    Pattern of exam:

    Six papers make up this examination. Out of the six papers, Statistics is an optional paper and can be chosen by any candidate appearing in this examination.

    Syllabus of Statistics paper in Indian Forest Service Examination:

    Paper I of Statistics encompasses the following concepts:-

    Statistical Inference
    Linear Inference and Design of Experiments
    Sampling Theory and Design of Experiments

    Paper II has the following chapters:-

    Industrial Statistics
    Optimization Techniques
    Quantitative Economics and Official Statistics
    Demography and Psychometry

    Duration of Statistics paper in Indian Forest Service Exam:

    The duration of the two papers of Statistics in the IFS exam is three hours. Answers should be descriptive in nature. The total marks are 200 for both the papers.

    Scoring pattern:

    Candidates are allotted marks based on the correctness of method used. Illogical methods of solving are strictly not allowed. There is no nonnegative marking in these papers.
