    Download Indian Forest Service Chemical Engineering Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination every year to recruit personnel in the Forest Services, India. It is the third big name after the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS). This examination is conducted all over India by the UPSC.

    Pattern of exam:

    This exam consists of six papers in total out of which four papers are optional. Two optional subjects can be chosen by a candidate. Chemical Engineering is an optional subject which is mostly chosen by a candidate of the technology background. Chemical Engineering has two papers namely Paper I and Paper II.

    Syllabus of Chemical Engineering paper in Indian Forest Service Examination:

    Paper I of Chemical Engineering contains the following chapters:-

    • Fluid and Particle Dynamics
    • Mass Transfer
    • Heat Transfer
    • Noval Separation Processes
    • Process Equipment Design
    • Process Dynamics and Control

    Paper II encompasses the following:-

    • Material Energy Balances
    • Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics
    • Chemical Reaction Engineering
    • Chemical Technology
    • Environmental Engineering and Safety
    • Process Engineering Economics

    Duration of Chemical Engineering paper in Indian Forest Service Exam:

    The duration of Chemical Engineering is three hours for both the papers. Questions of 300 marks are asked in both the papers. Answers should be descriptive.

    Scoring pattern:

    No scope of negative marking. Candidates are scored according to their answers. Good flow of information adds to a candidate’s advantage.
