    Pattern of exam:

    Candidates require to attend two descriptive papers of the specific trait they are appearing on. In Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering two conventional papers namely Paper I and Paper II are present.

    Syllabus of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Conventional paper in Indian Engineering Services Examination:

    Paper I of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Conventional type encompasses the following concepts:-

    Materials and Components
    Physical Electronics, Electron Devices and ICs
    Signals and Systems
    Network Theory
    Electromagnetic Theory
    Electronic Measurements and Instrumentation

    Paper II takes care of the following concepts:-

    Analog Electronic Circuits
    Digital Electronic Circuits
    Control Systems
    Communication Systems
    Microwave Engineering
    Computer Engineering

    Duration of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Conventional paper in Indian Engineering Services Examination:

    Three hours is the duration for both the conventional papers of Electronics and Telecommunication (E & T) Engineering, the total marks of both the paper being 200 each. Answers should be written in a descriptive fashion.

    Scoring pattern:

    There is no scope of negative marking in the conventional papers. Candidates are awarded scores based on the quality, logic and information content of the answers.
