    Download IIT JAM Geophysics Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) conducts the Joint Admission Test (IIT JAM) to admit students in the postgraduate degree courses like M. Sc or M. Sc and Ph.d. dual degree etcetera. This test is generally a tough one and sincere effort is needed to crack this one.

    Exam pattern:

    This examination is held in eight specific papers and candidate can choose one from the list of eight as per his or her domain of bachelor’s degree. IIT JAM in Geophysics is quite popular and numerous candidates take this test every year. The paper code of this particular paper is GP.

    Duration of Geophysics paper in IIT JAM exam:

    The paper of Geophysics is allotted a duration of three hours. The question paper is a mix of both objective and subjective questions weightages of which are 30% and 70% respectively. The total number of questions is 66 carrying a maximum of 300 marks in total.

    Scoring pattern:

    For each correct answer a candidate is awarded 6 marks and for each wrong answer 2 marks are deducted. There is no mark awarded for un-attempted questions. There is no negative marking in subjective questions; marks awarded here are based on the logic and correctness of the answers.
