    Download IGNOU Certificate in Primary Education - Teaching of Mathematics (CPE-2) Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    Certificate in Primary Education course was introduced by the Indira Gandhi National Open University with a view to develop the knowledge and understanding of the curriculum to be followed in primary schools and this course is mainly offered by the university for the benefit of working teachers.

    Eligibility for applying to certificate course in Primary Education:

    Certificate in Primary Education course extends to a period of six months and university permits the candidates to complete the course within a maximum duration of two years. Admission to this course is offered by the university to in-service teachers with or without teacher training certification and with a minimum teaching experience of five years. The experience must have been obtained by the candidates from a school either at the elementary of primary level offering education from the north-eastern state of India and from Sikkim.

    Subject offered in the Certificate in Primary Education course:

    The following seven papers are offered in the Certificate in Primary Education course of IGNOU:

    Teaching Language
    Teaching of Mathematics
    Teaching of Environmental Studies
    Understanding the primary school child
    School based activities
    Work-shop based activities
    Practice of teaching

    Pattern of Teaching of Mathematics paper in Certificate course in Primary Education:

    The code number of teaching of mathematics paper is CPE-2 and the maximum marks allotted for this paper is 70. The question paper will have four questions given in either or format thereby making a total of eight question and four questions are to be answered by the candidates.
