    Download GGSIPU B. Tech First Semester Applied Physics-I Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    The term GGSIPU in the name of the university stands for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and the university was previously called as Indraprastha University. It was established in the year 1998 and the university offers engineering and other courses in different disciplines.

    About B. Tech course offered by the university:

    The B. Tech course offered by the GGISPU has some theoretical and practical subjects are common for all branches in the first and second semester of the course.

    Common subjects in the first semester of B. Tech:

    The list of subjects that are commonly offered for all branches of engineering in the first semester of the B. Tech course is given below:

    Communication Skills I
    Impact of Science & Technology in Society
    Introduction to Computer and Auto CAD
    Manufacturing Process
    Applied Chemistry I
    Applied Physics I
    Applied Mathematics I

    Syllabus of Applied Physics I in first semester of B. Tech course:

    Applied Physics paper includes four units and the chapters covered under each of these units are given below:

    Unit I Interference of Light, Diffraction
    Unit II Polarization, Optical Instruments
    Unit III Laser, Fiber Optics
    Unit IV Mechanics, Special theory of relativity

    Pattern of question paper:

    Total marks allotted for the subject is 75 marks and duration is 75 minutes. Question no.1 of the paper should have to be compulsorily answered and this question will cover the entire syllabus mentioned above. The total marks allotted for this question is 25 and it might have short answer type questions or objective type questions. There will be two questions from each of the units mentioned above and students will have to attend one question from each unit with each question carrying 12.5 marks.
