    Download GATE Chemical Engineering Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    The Graduate Aptitude Test allows graduate students to continue pursuing their studies-Masters degree. Students of specific educational background especially Engineering need to sit for this exam and if qualified can take admission in renowned colleges of India to pursue the Masters degree.

    Exam pattern:

    GATE is conducted in a total of 21 papers; however one can appear only in one paper. Candidates generally apply for that paper in which he or she has completed the undergraduate studies. GATE in Chemical Engineering is quite popular and is hugely taken by candidates.

    Duration of Chemical Engineering paper in GATE exam:

    The allotted duration is three hours. There are 65 objective questions in this paper carrying a maximum mark of 100 in total. Answers are to be marked in the ORS sheet provided by the authority.

    Scoring pattern:

    Full marks of the particular question are allotted if the answer given is correct. An incorrect answer results in deduction of some percentage of marks from the total marks assigned to that question. For questions 1-25 and 56-60 one-third of the marks will be deducted whereas for questions 26-51 and 61-65 two-thirds of the marks will be deducted. Candidates are advised to thoroughly read the rules and regulations given in the first page of the question paper.
