    Download CLAT UG General Knowledge/Current Affairs Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test and this examination is conducted for admission of students to the 11 National Law Universities to the UG/PG course in law. The test is conducted randomly by each member institutions of the CLAT Committee.

    CLAT UG Exam Pattern:

    CLAT examination conducted for admission to the Bachelor of Law Course by the 11 institutions of law in India is conducted for 200 marks in total for a duration of two hours.

    Structure of Examination:

    The total 200 marks allotted for the examination is divided among different subjects as follows:

    40 marks for English including comprehension
    50 marks for General Knowledge/Current Affairs
    20 marks for Mathematics
    45 marks for Logical Reasoning
    45 marks for Legal Aptitude/Legal Awareness

    Scoring & Negative Marking for General Knowledge/Current Affairs:

    As mentioned earlier, the general knowledge/current affairs section of the CLAT UG examination is conducted for 50 marks in total. This section tests the candidates on their knowledge of current affairs, which broadly feature matters in the mainstream media between the current and previous years. Each question carries one mark and there is not negative marking in the CLAT Examination.
