    Download Civil Service Main Political Science and International Relations Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    Candidates successfully clearing the CSAT (Civil Service Aptitude Test) are required to sit for the Civil Service Main Examination before selected candidates are called for the interview. The controller of this examination is the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

    Exam Pattern:

    Nine papers constitute the Civil Service Main Exam. Out of these papers, Political Science is an optional one, which is quite a common choice among the candidates when choosing their optional subject. Political Science has two papers namely Paper I and Paper II.

    Duration of Political Science and International Relations paper in Civil Service Main Exam:

    The duration is three hours for both the papers of Political Science. Both the papers are of 300 marks and answers are to be written in a descriptive fashion.

    Scoring pattern:

    Candidates are marked on the basis of how good their answers are. Good informative answers are given special credit. No negative marking is done in these papers.
