    Download Central Teacher Eligibility Test Paper I Mathematics (Part II) Exam Previous Years Question Papers

    Central Teacher Eligibility Test, which is shortened as CTET is an examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The purpose behind conducting this examination is recruitment of teachers for primary and middle schools coming under Central Board of Secondary Education Syllabus across India.

    Structure of CTET Paper:

    CTET examination has two papers of which Paper I is meant for selection of primary teachers for teaching to students from Class I to V, while paper II is meant for selection of middle school teachers for teaching to students belonging to class VI to VIII. If a candidate, wishes to teach for both primary and middle school students, he/she will have to take up both the examinations.

    Pattern of CTET Paper I:

    As mentioned earlier Paper I is meant for candidates wishing to join as teachers for Classes I to V and the paper will be for totally 150 marks, which is divided as follows:

    Child Development and Pedagogy 30 Questions 30 marks
    Language I - 30 Questions 30 marks
    Language II - 30 Questions 30 marks
    Mathematics - 30 Questions 30 marks
    Environmental Studies - 30 Questions 30 marks

    Syllabus for mathematics part:

    The mathematics part of Paper I will have 30 objective type questions out of which 15 will be from topics like money, patterns, data handling, volume, time, weight, measurement, division, multiplication, subtraction and addition, numbers, solids around us, spatial & shapes understanding and geometry. Other 15 questions will be pertaining to reasoning patterns and logical thinking.
