BITSAT is the admission test conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology & Science for admitting students to the first year of the different integrated degree courses offered by the institution. Admission based on this score will be done for the campus of BITS located in Goa, Hyderabad and Pilani.

Exam Pattern:

BITSAT examination is conducted by BITS online and the uniqueness about this examination is that each candidate appearing for the examination will get a different question paper having questions with same difficulty level. The question paper will have 150 questions in total, divided as follows:

• Part I – 40 questions from Physics
• Part II – 40 question from Chemistry
• Part III
o (a) 15 questions from English Proficiency
o (b) 10 questions from Logical Reasoning
• Part IV – 45 questions from Mathematics

There is no time limit for each of the aforesaid parts and the total time allotted for the examination is three hours.

Chemistry Pattern:

The chemistry section of BITSAT question will have 40 questions and if a candidate completes all 150 questions without skipping any question well before the allotted time, he/she will be awarded with 12 more additional questions, with four questions each from mathematics, chemistry and physics. Candidates are offered the liberty of skipping questions or they can also mark questions for review and after completing other questions they can go back and can complete the marked question.

Scoring & Negative Marking:

Each question in chemistry carries three marks and there will be negative one mark for every wrong answer.
