    Annamalai University’s Directorate of Distance Education came into existence in the year 1979 and the university initially came into existence in the year 1929. The university offers education from the state of Tamil Nadu and distance education courses are offered by the university in different disciplines.

    Bachelor of Education from Annamalai University’s DDE:

    B. Ed course was introduced by the university’s DDE in the year 2008-09 and this course is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education. However, candidates must have experience in teaching for getting into this course and this experience should be minimum two years in a primary or middle school.

    About Innovations, Trends and Approaches in Zoology–I paper:

    The code number of this subject is 508 and it is offered in the first year of the B. Ed course from Directorate of Distance Education of Annamalai University. As from the name of the subject, it is meant for offering a deep understanding to the future teachers on different innovations, trends and approaches in the subject of zoology.

    Question paper pattern:

    The question paper for this paper will have questions worth 80 marks with three sections, section A carries 20 marks, section B carries 30 marks and section C carries 30 marks. All 10 questions in Section A should be answered with each question carrying 2 marks and six questions should be answered in section B with each question carrying 5 marks, while section C will have two questions in either or format and therefore out of four questions any two are to be answered from this section.
