yes, doing MBA by correspondence is a good idea for working executives provided you are going to use the qualification soon to boost your career. It is no use doing correspondence MBA for the sake of accumulating certificates. Try symbiosis or IGNOU.

Since you are working, so in this case you should do MBA in 1yr executive then MBA correspondence. Executive MBA is better than correspondence. For executive MBA minimum 2yr work experience needed.

Or else you can pay of your own to join any of these executive programs.And in the field of Management getting a degree/diploma from top management institute is always an added advantage.

Ya, donig MBA as a correspondence course is a good decision ,because currently you are running with your job also . As seeing your background ,it seems to be that you should go with Marketing as a specialization in you MBA. I think you might have the experience in this field aslo as you were doing Gas survey.So, just with Marketing field ,which could really affect your coming future also ,specially in gettnig the good placement in the good MNCs. But ,firstly you have give some entrance exam which are only eligible for geeting the admission in MBA i.e either Regular or Correspondence MBA,the exams are like CAT,MAT,XAT and many more .So,just go through these exams and it will start mostly from the month of Dec and ended to the month of May every year .So ,make your decision as soon as possible and move on . yes, doing mba correspondance is a good decision. if u are doing a job and ur promotion or incentives depends upon your mba degree so why not to opt fot it. indira gandhi national open university(ignou) and symbosis (or any other u know) will be better for u.

Doing MBA itself is a good decision , since you are a working person if you do MBA it can give you better job in future .Along with your work you can pursue MBA in correspondence , it is a good decision , you can save your money and time .
Please note that thee will be an entrance exam which you need to pass for the study of MBA ,if you pass in the exam then there is an interview ,since you are a working person you will get some consideration .
And when you select an institution from where you plan to do MBA in correspondence you have to make sure that the institution is a recognized and a standard one .After completing MBA either you can continue in same field or you can go for some other jobs like in finance ,marketing or in HR field

Yes, provided u do your MBA from reputed organization or the MBA offered by IGNOU. Please check before getting admitted to any MBA's, whether it has been approved by AICTE, else those will not recognized for any purpose.

it is good but better regular is better.

As far as most of the colleges doesnot conduct entrace exams for joining MBA in correspondence. Even IGNOU conducts entrance exam as a basic eligibility test to apply for management programmes. As you said, you are having 5 years of experience, it is advisable to join Executive MBA and even it has more value than correspondence MBA. Correspondence MBA's can be pursued by anyone those who doesn't have experience also. But Executive MBA's would be pursued only by those who are having an experience of minimum 5 years. Better approach a premier and reknowned institute in your city and enroll for an Executive MBA.
