Re: Is doing CA necessary after CS or vice-versa?

Basically you need to understand the job prospects after all these courses. After pursuing the CA course you will work in area of auditing and taxation. The Company Secretary job is more into looking the legal affairs and working with the Board Members in the benefit of the company. ICWA on the other hand is more into cost accounting. So there is a difference in the job profiles so you need to decide bases on the kind of job you are interested in. However there is no harm in doing both the courses. Either of the combinations is fine. It just increases your job prospectus. If you are planning to study after graduation then you can join the intermediary course directly. If you plan to do CA then you must join a firm for articleship too.

CA, CS, ICWA are all excellent courses and have lot of career prospects. These courses have implication in different field of studies. It is not necessary to do CA after the completion of CS, or vice versa. You can either choose to do it or not do it. With either of one of the course is enough to get you a good job. CS is a good course and is in huge demand now a days. ICWA is accountancy based course and will take you in to that direction. You can do these course while doing your graduation or after it. Candidates with +2 can take up these courses any time they want.

CA and CS are two completely different fields of specialisation. it is not necessary to do both of them. However, if you want to do both CS and CA, then you can do them in any order.

    Hi Dear,
As currrently you are in 1st year of B.com stream, and nowyou think that what to do after completing your graduation . either CA or CS or vice versa. Well it is not necessary to do both the professional course one on another .Because thse both course have their own importance in Accounting field i.e one is Company Secretaryship and another one is Chartered Accountant .
If you will clear anyone of the professional course i.e CA or CS ,which will get the equally value in the company where you will work. So, both are the best .Thanks

First complete your B.com with a high percentage.
then go for the course according to your interest.
    I think CA is better.

first complete your B.COM with a good percentage, then think about the next step
and it is not compulsory to do C.A and C.S together... and acc. to me today C.A. is the best option

My dear, both are totally different courses. CA is related to accounts and CS is related to LAW. And there are many job opportunities after CA. there is a good demand for CA.

Hello friend in this no confusion occured. First you understand what is ca and cs. CA MEANS CHARTED ACCOUNTANT AND CS MEANS COMPANY SECRATARY. CA AND CS HAVE DIFFERENT JOB NATURE. Not necessary to do ca after cs or viceversa. You write cpt exam for that ca. And after you get a ca seat. You are perfectly eligible for ca or cs. Dont confuse. Choose your decision in clear mind. All the best

    Hi friend,

It totally depends on your interest of job. After CA course you will work in area of auditing, reviewing and taxation which is more complex field .
The C.S job is BASICALLY involves the legal affairs and working with the other Members of the company .
So choose the field in which you can work easily and with much more satisfaction.

    Good Luck..!!

Thumbs up Re: Is doing CA necessary after CS or vice-versa?

    Hii

Charted accounter and company secretariat are completely different as in CA deals with the accounts you need to make up clear data base of all those.you need to calculate the gross aggregates.

For CS there is no need for much qualifications but the basic essential requirement is only you need to get well versed communication skills training and even you need to posses the mba degree .So, Don't think cs is same as CA. Ca has more value compared to CS.Better settle in any one field you are interested
    Good luck

Re: Is doing CA necessary after CS or vice-versa?

    Dear friend.
There is no such course that show up a necessity for the other course. Every course has its own value and stand a chance to provide best career to the candidate provided he or she has the capabilities to get the best out of it.
Choosing a course after another depends upon mainly the duration and the popularity of the course.
As you know that the CA course lands into the job areas of accounting and taxation whereas the CS course entails you in the company legal regulations and law abiding rules of a company. So just think where you want to be after the course. Since CA is of 3 years duration whereas CS is of 1 year duration the job you will get will be based on your CA degree and the CS degree will just do the needful of icing the cake and will show a rise in the career opportunities.

So go for CS after CA or CS along with CA.

    : :GOOD LUCK: :

Re: Is doing CA necessary after CS or vice-versa?

If u r doing ur b.com regular, then there is some problem in doing ca.
Further, u hav to decide ur area of interest. If u like theory (law) more then it's better to do cs or if u like numericals & calculations then u may opt for ca.
My frnd one more thing that i want to tell u is both r professional course & require more dedication towards study but once u complete these course, it will change ur life.
    Stay away from negative advices.
So decide ur area of interest & then choose ur course.
