    Sorry folk!
    >>NIT does not have any lateral entry examinations.
    >>The only way to take admission into the NITs to securing apex in the AIEEE(all India engineering entrance examination).
    >>You can't take admission into any other university or college if you have completed your B.Tech 1st year.
    >>The LEETs(Lateral entry entrance test) is for the diploma holders only.

    All the best........

Thumbs up Re: Does NIT's conduct any lateral entry exam or not? If so Am I eligible for those exams while pursuing my B.Tech 1st year?

    Hello friend,

    >>I am very sorry to say that you are not eligible for direct admission in NIT through Lateral entry test or AIEEE.As you know NIT and IITs are the most reputed Engineering Colleges of India and they don't allow lateral entry admissions on any basis.

    >>If you want to change your College, after completing your 1st year, then you need t o follow the below instructions:

:-->You need to reappear for AIEEE and you need to score a rank higher than the cut-off rank of the College in which you want to take admission in 2nd year.
:-->You need to get the written permission certificate stating that you are eligible to leave the College with your University's permission.
:-->You must ask your University, whether they allow to change College with the University or outside the University.
:-->You must no have any backlogs left in your 1st year of Engineering course.

After fulfilling the above conditions, you can show the NO(No Objection) certificate to the University in which you want to take admission in the second year.

For more details regarding Lateral entry admission scheme of your University, you can visit its official website.
