Hii.There is no separate exam for the both clerk and PO post .The postings to the candidates are different. The government will allot the candidates for there particular post which is suitable for them.
And there is no different exam for this , every one should write the same pattern exam to get the job as clerk or as PO.

    Dear swati,
Bank PO exams are conducted by various Indian banks mainly the most popular are the SBI PO exam and the Punjab National Bank PO exam.

These are the single exams for the posts of clerks, SWO, PO's and technical executive in the respective Indian banks.

SBI recruitment procedure consist of two written exams mainly the prelim exam followed by a mains exam. Then an interview will be held for the final recruitment.
Also let me tell you that Indian Bank Association will be conducting a Bank CET called IBPS PO exam on behalf of 20 Indian Banks.
The exam consist of a written exam and after which your scores are provided in the form of scorecards. Based on the cutoff from various 20 Indian banks you can apply to the interested bank, appear for an interview and get recruited. This exam will be conducted two times a year from 2011 only.
