    dear friend,
    MOST frequently civil service exam is a IAS:

    Basic Eligibility criteria for IAS(Indian Administrative Service):

    Educational Qualification:- Graduation degree in any discipline from recognized university.

    Age:- Age should be between 21 to 33 years for General category, 21 to 35 for OBC & 21 to 35 for SC/ST category.

    Gender:- Both Male & Female candidates are eligible for IAS but should be an Indian citizen.


    If you meet above eligibility condition then you are eligible for IAS then after to join IAS you have to appear in Civil Service Examination conducted by UPSC every year. Civil Service Exam has two stages...

    -Preliminary Exam
    -Main Examination


    Eligible candidates may apply for UPSC Civil Service Examination Online or Offline.

    So please wait till notification release then fill Application form Online by using UPSC official website. And if you wish to apply Offline then you get Application for at Head Post office.


    Important Dates

    -Date of issuing of application form:04.02.2012
    -Last date of receipt of Application: 05.03.2012
    -Preliminary exam will be held on: 20.05.2012
    -Main Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012.


    PATTERN of Civil Service Preliminary Exam

    Paper - I(200 Marks) Duration :- Two hrs.

    General Science


    Paper - II(200 Marks) Duration :- Two hrs.

    Graduation is the main eligibility criterion for Civil Service exam. Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC for selecting candidates for IAS, IPS posts. 21 years is the minimum age required to apply for this exam. Those who have crossed 30 years cannot apply. Age relaxations are allowed for reserved categories. You need to attend Preliminary exam first. If you clear this level, you can attend Main exam. You need to clear both levels to attend Personal interview.

    If you want to apply for UPSC Civil services examination

    Then for this you have to complete your graduation because graduate candidates are eligible to apply for UPSC civil services examination

    And for this exam, your age should between 21 to 30 years.
    The upper age relaxation is only applicable for SC, ST and For OBC candidates.

    The exam consist of 2 stages
    - Preliminary exams
    - Main exam.

    The UPSC conducts this exam twice in a year.
    And after clear Preliminary exam, Main exam and Interview..

    General candidates will get 4 attempts in This examination. And the Preliminery examination is also known as CSAT.

    Hi Guest,

    (i) Age limits :

    21-30 years as on 1.7.2012.

    (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified below).

    For SC and ST candidates 5 years.

    For OBC candidates 3 years.

    (ii) Educational Qualifications:

    Bachelorís degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

    Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for Civil Service Exam exam.

    But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.


    The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.


    Also you must be in citizen in India.


    The Civil Service Exam selection process is consist in three way


    1)Preliminary exam

    2)Main exam
    3)Inter View.

    OPTIONAL SUBJECT FOR CIVIL SERVICE EXAM

    You can choose the Optional Subject as your strength.Optional subject are given below.

    Hello Friend

    Civil services exam which many young aspirants compete to enter into Indian government services which is regarded as one of the highest cadre in Indian government services. There are many cadres in civil services which is divided under 3 main categories

    1. All India services
    2. Central services
    3. State services

    UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) conducts the examination every year and it is considered as the toughest exam in India, In order to crack the civil services exam you have plan your time table and you should do hard work so that you can get the required top service cadre.

    The civil services examination is mainly conducted in 3 main categories

    1. Preliminary ( held in April / May )
    2. Mains ( held in October / November )
    3. Interview ( held in March )

    There will be limited number of attempts for the civil's and you must have to crack it in the given attempts based on your reservation category, attempting one round also you will lost a chance

    - General - 4 attempts
    - OBC - 7 attempts
    - SC / ST - Unlimited

    So coming to the eligibility standards UPSC set some of the criteria to write the Civil services exam like in different terms

    Education
    :

    you must have completed your Degree in any stream with a minimum pass marks from any recognized college / university.

    Age :

    you must have minimum 21years and maximum of 30 years of age, there will be an age exemption for the special categories like

    - SC / ST - 5 years
    - OBC - 3 years
    - Defense personnel - 5 years
    - State of Jammu and Kashmir persons - 5 years

    Nationality
    : your citizenship must be an Indian, or from Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugee.

    If you want to apply for the examination then you can go for applying by getting the application form from any Head post offices through Offline mode or Online through the http://www.upsc.gov.in.

    There are many cadres where after qualifying the Interview based on your total marks you will be placed like

    Civil service exams are conducted by UPSC every year.

    UPSC conduct the civil service exam every year for IAS,IPS,IFS etc.

    Eligibility:-

    Qualification---- You must have graduate degree in any stream from
    recognised university.

    Age limit--- Age should be minimum 21 and maximum 30 years for general
    categories.

    Relaxation for OBC is 3 year and for SC/ST is 5 year.

    Attempts--- For general 4 ,for obc 7 attempts and no limit for SC/ST.

    Fee for general candidate is Rs. 100 only.

    No fee for SC/ST/PH.

    Eligibility Criteria For Civil Service Examination ::




    To apply for the exam you must be a citizen of India .

    Age ::

    For 2012 Exam you must be 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, 2012

    For OBC candidates 21 - 33 Years

    For SC/ST candidates 21 - 35 Years .

    Qualification::

    Must have a degree form any Indian University or other educational institution which is recognized from Government Of India .

    You can even apply if you are in your final year of degree .

    Number Of Attempts ::

    You can attempt 4 times for general candidates .

    7 attempts for OBC candidates.

    There is no limits for SC/ST candidates.



    Important Dates ::

    Preliminary Exam on 20-05-2012

    Main Exam on 05-10-2012

    generally the eligibility criteria for this exam are :-

    you must be a citizen of India .

    you must have done your graduation with any stream from recongnised college .

    your age must be within 21 to 30 years .special age relaxation for sc/st and obc candidates upto 5 years .

    no of attempts :-

    for general :- 4 times .

    for obc :- 7 times .

    for sc/st :- no limits .

    the examination is taken in three stages :-

    FIRST STAGE :- preliminary exam .

    SECOND STAGE :- mains .

    Civil Services Exam is great option for one.

    This exam is conducted once in a year in three different stages by UPSC.
    I st stage : Preliminary
    II nd stage : Mains
    III rd stage : Interview

    Eligibility for this exam:

    * you should be a citizen of India
    * your age should be in between 21 and 30 years
    * graduate in any discpline

    age relaxation : 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
