For appearing for the IPS exam, you need to be a graduate. You can pursue the graduation in any discipline. You should have secured graduation from a recognized university. You need to attend the written examination conducted by the UPSC. You should also qualify in the physical test which is conducted. If you qualify in the written exam, you can attend the personal interview. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview. But your application will be rejected if you fail to clear the physical fitness round conducted on clearing the interview round.
