Yes it is conducted twice in a year .

Full form of NET is National Eligibility Test and this examination is conducted by University Grants Commission twice in a year and conducted in the month of December and June ever year . December application forms will be available in the month of October or November in the official website and June application forms will be available in the month of April or May in the official website . Minimum Qualification is that candidate need to completed their master degree course in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification .

Any master degree candidate can apply for the UGC examination if you are completed master degree then you are eligible to apply for the NET Examination . The candidate must secure at least 55% marks in their examination for General and OBC candidates . 50% marks for reserved categories like Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes / Phyiscally Challenged persons .

The candidate who are studying in the last year of master degree may also eligible to apply for this examination and at the time appearing for this examination there is no standing backlogs . If you have any backlogs then you are not eligible to apply and in the case if you are failed and also you will be disqualified .

The candidate must have attained the age of 19 years and must not have more than 28 years and upper age limits is applicable . There is no lecturship examination .

definitely they will conduct NET or SET exam two times every year, may be the second one is on last months of this year but be prepared well theire will be though competition and current affairs are very important to qualify the exam, and up to date with general issues also.
