SLET EXAM: Bharathiar University State Eligibility Test (SET) for Lectureship in different fields like :Animal science, Plant science, Management, Mathematical Sciences, Music, Philosophy, Physical Education, Sociology, Psychology, Physical Sciences, Geography, Hindi, History, economics, Home Science, Environmental science, Journalism & Information Science Electronics, Bio-technology, English, Chemical Sciences, Commerce, Computer Science etc.

Eligibility for SLAT EXAM:
1.you must have completed their Masters Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with 55% of marks.
2.you should apply for the lecture ship programme for the subjects you have done in their Post Graduation.
3. if belong to SC, ST must have secured 50 % marks in their Post Graduation course.
4. Final year post graduate can also apply.
5. No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing for the exam.

The examination is partitioned into 3 papers.
paper 1: total of 100 marks
duration of time: 85 minutes.
The questions on reasoning ability, comprehension and divergent thinking

The Paper 2 :total of 100 marks short questions related to subjects.
duration of time 85 minutes.

paper 3: consists of descriptive question from the subject opted by you for 200 marks
duration of time 150 minutes.
The medium of instruction will be in Tamil as well as in English.

Cost of the SLET 2012 exam fee for general category: Rs.1000/-
Cost of the SLET 2012 exam fee for backward category: Rs.750/-
Cost of the SLET 2012 exam fee for the SC/ST and the physically handicapped candidates : Rs.250/-

SLET exam was conducted by the bharathiar university (tamilnadu, Coimbatore),this exam have to approved by the UGC than this exam was conducted or else not conducted .
this exam is conducted in the month of august every year.the main motive to conduct this exam for the post of lecturers ,
if you are interested than you have to fill the application forms which are available in the bharathiar university.
eligibility
if you are completed the PG course than you are eligible to write this exam.not only that you must have 55% of marks in your masters degree program .if you are belong to SC/ST category or physically handicapped than you have opportunity to get only 50% of marks to be eligible for this exam,

• if you are belong to backward class than you have to pay only 750rs.

thanks to all for giving info abt SLET eligibility, fees and the like but within tat there is lot of differences, tats fine some source says SLET is on Aug 3rd week, and some 16th May which is true, hw can a fresher apply official websites show no direction hw to apply cn anyone say it clearly with authentic websites and where to get appli., forms plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz????

* SLET Stands for State Lectureship Eligibility Test.

* This test is conducted by Bharathiar University In Tamil Nadu every year.

The Eligibility Criteria For the test are :

a) You must have completed your post graduation in any discipline from any recognized university.

b) You must have secured 55% marks in minimum in your post graduation.

c) There is relaxation of 5 5 marks for candidates excepting general category.

d) Final Year students can also apply for the test.

The SLET Exam is conducted on 16th of May , 2012 in Tamil Nadu.
