If you want to be a CA in future, then you must opt commerce after 10th because CA is full of Accountancy & no stream is better than commerce.Commerce includes subjects like BUSINESS,MARKETING,MANAGEMENT,FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT,ACCOUNTANCY.
Commerce is full of accountancy & CA accountancy is similar to Commerce accountancy but the difference is of level of difficulty. You could do graduation with CA.In Bcom better to chose Accountancy as your main subject because it will help you in doing CA.

Re: Which course should I opt after 10th to become a CA in future?

There is no particular course or stream which you should opt in order to appear for chartered accountancy
exams. In other words, any candidate who has completed his or her higher secondary from any stream is eligible
    to appear for these exams.

But generally students from commerce field opt for chartered accountancy as their profession. In other words
the students from commerce field are much more interested in the course. The reason being that they already
study some basic concepts of accounting in higher secondary which prove very helpful in appearing for these exams.

So, you can opt for for commerce as your stream after completing your 10th standard. So, that you
would get the basic knowledge of accounting and economics which is helpful for preparing for chartered
    accountancy exams.

Thumbs up Re: Which course should I opt after 10th to become a CA in future?

the course you must select is COMMERCE based courses..
so that it will be easier while encountering CA-CPT exam...

the exam is conducted in twice a year.. December and June.
the paper will be of 200 marks (maths -50,accountancy-60,merchantile law-40,economics-50) and to qualify in it you must get 100 marks ....so it's easy for a commerce student to crack CA...
there are many other ways to do CA....
like..taking any stream in intermediate and writing CA exam.
    OR
doing B.com after 12th and directly jump into IPCC ( second phase of CA) ...you can select any way...but be wise while taking decision

In CA you have three phases CA-CPT,IPCC,CA FINAL...
    after qualifying in CA-CPT
    you will have
    *Register for IPCC
    *Orientation and ITT
*Appear and Pass IPCC Group I Exam
    *Register for Articleship
*Appear and Pass IPCC Group II Exam
    *Register for CA Final Course:
*Appear and Pass CA Final Exam
    *Complete Articleship
*GMCS(Course on General Management and Communication Skills for 15 days).
*finally Enroll as a member of ICAI and designate as “Chartered Accountant”.

    all the best dude

It is good to see your interest towards the CA course. It is the very well known and dynamic course.CA is a demanding course. This course takes three to four years.CA- Charted Accountancy course is related to the accounting. If you are interested in this course then you should go for the Commerce stream n the +1.This will be really helpful for you in the completion of this course.

After completing the +2 in the commerce stream you can do the graduation in same type of streams. There are many option for you to take the Graduation course. But It will be good to opt the B.com course. This course is quite similar to the CA course.A lot of syllabus for the Both courses are same.As to complete the CA course there will be need a Graduation degree. So I think you should go for the B.com course as the higher education after your +2.
