    Dear srinido,

There is no particular course for IAS. IAS is acronym for Indian Administrative Service and to join it, you need to qualify civil service exam.
The civil service exam is conducted by union public service commission every year. A graduate in any discipline may write the exam, provided she/he is within the age limit of 21-30 years. The maximum age limit is relaxed for 5 years for SC/ST category and 3 years for OBC category.
The upcoming exam, the first stage of the civil service exam, is going to be held on 20.05.2012

    All the best!

    Hi,
There is no particular restriction to choose specific subjects in 12th to become an IAS officer in future.

You just have to be GRADUATE to become an IAS officer.

DESPITE OF THESE ,if you want to choose subjects in 10+2 specifically for IAS preparation point of view then...

    Go for HISTORY
    GEOGRAPHY
    ECONOMICS

These subjects are directly related to the syllabus asked in IAS GENERAL STUDIES PAPER .
And also you can choose these as your optional's in IAS mains.

    Best of luck..
