Which course to choose to become a lecturer? - M.Sc ( Maths), EDUCATION (M.Ed) or MBA( Finance)

    Hi,
I am Neha Gupta, a Teacher in Maths by profession in a well reputed school in New Delhi. I have done my B.Sc (DU) and my B.Ed(IP) and I plan to study further. I had wanted to do my MBA but then got married and have 2 kids now aged 5 and 1.5 yrs. I want to work as a lecturer in some college after some time but I'm confused whether to study M.Sc ( Maths) or EDUCATION (M.Ed) or MBA( Finance). Please guide me so as to which course has maximum benefits and scope.
    Thanks
    Neha Gupta

It is a good decision to study further. To take a decision first of all you need to decide which area interests you. For becoming a lecturer it is a must to have completed post graduation. Along with that it is a must to clear the NET exam. You will be eligible to appear this exam only after completion of post graduation. Also you need to select the subject studied during post graduation while appearing for the NET exam. So if you plan to teach Maths you need to first of complete your M.Sc in Maths and then appear for the NET exam. If you choose to do MBA you need to decide which area to specialise. You will need to take up a teaching career in the area of specialisation after clearing the NET exam. There is no point in pursuing M.Ed after having completed B.Ed. You need to choose amongst the other two options.

If you want to turn out to be a lecturer, then you have to complete the postgraduate studies. Since you are a Science graduate, it is better for you to do the M.Sc. Maths. After completion of your course, you have to clear out the UGC-NET exam for becoming a lecturer in institutions. Having qualified in the test, you can apply for jobs within any institutes all over India and abroad. In addition, postgraduation in Maths is the best course for you since you are from a Maths background. Since Maths has many branches like Applied Maths, Statistics and so on, you can choose your favourite specialization while doing the program. Various Universities and colleges offer the different courses in M.Sc. Maths. You should pursue the course from a certified University. Then only you may be able to apply for jobs in Government sector or in private sector colleges and institutes. MBA and M.ED are also excellent courses, but I think M.Sc course is the finest program for you to pursue.

You are in class eight. First complete your 10th and 12th. Then go for B.Sc in mathematics after that M.Sc in mathematics. Mathematics has a good scope.

Hey for being a lecturer in some reputed college you first have to do your masters in your respective field and then you have to appear for an exam called NET if you want to be a lecturer in reputed universities such as Delhi university, Calcutta university (for appearing for it you should have at least 55% in your graduation) or SET, in case you want to be a lecturer in a particular state which are conducted by
respective state governments so just go for this option for being a lecturer in your desired university..

    Hi....
For becoming Lecturer of Mathematics ,M.sc ( maths) will be best for you.
After this you have to qualify National Eligibility Test conducted by union grant commision.
    You can apply for either
    Lecturership post
    OR junior research fellowship.
    Age limit:
for NET : no upper age is specified.
For JRF: atleast 21 to 28 years.
Examination is conducted twice in one year.
Examination held in the month of June and December.
Notifications are available on official website of UGC.
So first make your self eligible for this examination.
After qualifying examination you are selected for lecturer post in good university of India.
    Thanks
