    Dear friend

My suggestion for you is to go for the CIVIL side
Because Petroleum Engineering is upcoming courses and most of the colleges having the CIVIL only not petroleum
If you joined CIVIL you can work in a company and after that you can do some Construction business of your own
but petroleum is not like that...

In civil there are lot of courses like
    Architecture
    Structural
    Interior design etc...

    all the best

***Best coarse between petroleum and civil engineering***
The best coarse among the tow said above for you depends on the intrest of yours.
1 In case if you are intrested and good in drawing and math. Also you like to solve geometrical problem Civil will be the best stream. Also it is preffered due to it is core stream.
2 In case you are intrested in chemical, acids, organics and if you are good in logical relationship(chemistry) you can opt for petroleum engineering.
