Re: Correspondence course in B ED

In order to pursue a B Ed course you need to first complete your graduation in the area where you plan to specialise. Also it is a must that you have a minimum of two years teaching experience. It is not important whether you are a permanent employee or a temporary staff of the school. You need to provide proof of both your graduation and your teaching experience. Also it is important that you secure a minimum of 50% in graduation.
Some of the institutes offering the course conduct an entrance exam too. The duration of the course is minimum of 2 years. Since it is a correspondence course it could stretch up to 4 years depending on clearing the various exam and submitting the assignments required. Make sure that you pursue a course from an institute that is recognized. Also after the BE.D course you will need to appear for exams like SET.

Re: Correspondence course in B ED

Annamalai University, Madurai Kamaraj University, Andhra University, Bangalore University, Kakatiya University etc are some of the universities which offer correspondence courses in B.Ed.
These universities offer B.Ed according to the studentís general inclination. These universities have study centers spread over numerous study centers in different states of India.
There are different levels like primary school, senior secondary and lectures in colleges. The candidate must be either a graduate or a post graduate with at least 55% marks. Then you can go for a B ED course. The candidate must choose one of the teaching subjects that they have studied should have at studied in graduation. Students with prior experience in teaching will have additional advantage but it is not a compulsory requirement.

I have completed B.A.(Hons) in English with 54% in 2010. Now I am willing to have my B.Ed. completed through distance learning.
Will you let me know about any such correspondence courses from NCTE? Besides neither a teacher I am nor do I have any teaching experience.
Any reply in this regard is welcome.
