    Hello Dear.,

-->> Yeah Commerce student are eligible for the B.Architecture.

    >> For admission to the B.Arch course only candidate from the science stream in 12th standard are allowed to apply.

    >> Physics, Chemistry and Maths should be amongst the subjects studied.

    >> These candidates will need to appear for the engineering entrance exams along with NATA. It is important to have a good score in these tests to qualify for admission.

    Hello Shruti,
Well yes. Most definitely commerce students are very much eligible to do B.Arch as you've had mathematics as a part of your syllabus for 2 years in the puc course. And another enhancement would be if you are good at sketching and imagining 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional objects ot space, etc., it would most definitely help you fetch an edge over the normalcy. So good luck shruti!!:-)

Re: Is a commerce student with maths eligible for B.Arch course or not?

    Dear friend.

Bachelor of Architecture is a undergraduate course which deals with the study of buildings and planning of various architectures. The course makes the student capable and strenghthened with the concepts of planning a building or a space along with the concepts of refurbishing, renovation and designing. Due to the extreme use of IT and computers in the area this has made the concepts of designing in this area very much exciting.

    Eligibility:
To be eligible for the course one has to fulfill the following criteria's:
*you have to be a 12th passed candidate in any discipline with maths as one of the main subjects and have also passes in the subject of english also separately.

so that means you can apply in the AIEEE exam also if you are a commerce with maths for the B.Arch course only.

This exam is conducted every year for the entry into the two courses:
    *B.tech
    *B.Arch
To be eligible for the exam you have to be a 12th passed candidate with physics and maths as one of the main subjects for the B.tech. Also you have to be 17 years to 25 years of age.

The syllabus is totally based on the 10+2 pattern of the CBSE Standard.
So you can go for the B.Arch and not the B.tech in the exam.

The tentative dates for the exam are as follows:
    *Last date: mid of january
*Date of exam: 29th April 2012 for offline and 25th may 2012 for online candidates

    Good luck

Re: Is a commerce student with maths eligible for B.Arch course or not?

    No my friend...!!

You are not eligible for B.Arch.

As you have done your 12th with commerce then you can not divert from your stream.

Go only for commerce courses not for others.

There are number of commerce courses and you may choose any one.

Only the non-medical students can go for Architecture.

The bachelor degree in architecture is as similar as civil engineering.

Thus only the non-medical students can go for it not the commerce students.

You can only stick with the commerce courses.
