If you have an option, please go in for a full fledged Mtech course, since you may need good lab facilities and round the clock guidance for your advanced courses. But if you dont have an option, it would be good to know which place you belong to. There are some colleges like DCE who offer Mtech with evening classes. They are very good for experienced working professionals and you could pursue such courses. You will have couple of advantages, one is to have flexibility in timing so that you can attend to classes after your working time. Second advantage is that you can go to labs and other facilities like library as and when needed. This wont be possible if you take a Mtech in distance learning mode. We could have suggested some colleges if we could have known the place where you are coming in from. Especially since you have chose Automobile engineering, you will need a good lab and workshop facility, so think twice about it doing in distance learning mode. Now in MBA you should take major specialisation in Operations and minor in marketing. This could help in getting into automobile firms either in their operations side or in their marketing and business development side.

A Masters Degree always holds an advantage when it comes for opening up of a wide variety of Career prospects. So you can add to your qualification an M Tech without compromising to your job, just by doing distance learning or doing Part time course in any reputed University.

As per my experience a distance program in professional degree is a risky job.

Because the degree attained in this manner is no use to you and does not fetches you anything professionally.

It just add few letters in your Qualification but it will not brings any identity.
