sir till 2012, iit-jee was conducted for admitting students into iit's but now from 2013 all the engineering entrance exams like aieee , iit-jee are going to be replaced by iseet
now iseet is an entrance for admitting students into iit's , nit's and other institutes. you must surely clear iseet exam to get admission in iit's.

You have to qualify in JEE MAIN,only then you will be called for next exam JEE ADVANCED through which you can get seats at IIT
