Re: Is a Chartered Accountant eligible to do MBA or give CAT Exam without graduation?

No, it is not possible to appear for CAT exam, without having a degree of graduation in any discipline. So, if you want to appear for CAT exam , then you should first complete your graduation from a recognised university.

So, even though you are a Chartered Accountant , then also you have first appear for your graduation exams for being eligible to appear to pursue MBA(Masters in Business Administration).
The minimum requirement to appear for CAT exam is to have a graduation degree in any discipline.I have a suggestion for you - that after completing your CA course , you can pursue your graduation through correspondence, in which a student has to just appear for the exams, at the same time you can pursue a job in any company as you have earned a CA degree and you can collect three years of experience.

As and when your graduation is complete through correspondence, you can appear for CAT exam
and if qualified you would be eligible to get into one of the to most MBA colleges of the country.
Alternatively you can pursue your CA course while pursuing gradation through correspondence.

To be a Chartered Accountant, you have to complete your graduation. Only after completing graduation, you are eligible for the MBA or give CAT.

Re: Is a Chartered Accountant eligible to do MBA or give CAT Exam without graduation?

To apply for CAT examination you need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university with at least 50% Marks. So, If you dont be graduate then sorry to say but you are not eligible for CAT examination or to get admission in MBA Course. so , if you are doing Chartered Accountant course and you have not be graduate then you are not eligible to apply for any MBA entrance examination, Because to get admission in MBA course you need a graduate degree in any discipline. So if you are interested in MBA course then please complete your graduation examination first. You are doing CA course then its good for you because after completing CA you will get good jobs in top companies, But CA degree is not equivalent to Bachelor degree course, So CA are not eligible for MBA course if you have not doing your graduation course. So to apply for CAT examination you must be a graduate in any discipline. The CAT examination was held only 1 time in a year and the examination was held in the month of November every year and the notification was announced in the month of August, So If you want to get more information regarding CAT examination, then please check the CAT official website -

For pursuing any of the masters course having a graduation degree is a must. Also some institutes insist on minimum of 50% marks in the same. The chartered accountancy is valued high in the job market. However it is not considered as a degree course. It is a certificate course. You need to have pursued your graduation inorder to pursue a MBA. You can if you wish pursue graduation as a distance course along with CA course. You could probably take up commerce field as most of the subjects are similar. Infact the level of the difficulty is higher for the CA course.

Re: Is a Chartered Accountant eligible to do MBA or give CAT Exam without graduation?

Yah sure you can go for CAT.
Many universities accept the result of graduation but many universities only need the entrance exam.
But you'll have to perform very nicely in your entrance exam to get a recognised college.
MBA must be done from a recgnised university, then only it is valued.
MBA also has a bright future.

    Good luck..

Re: Is a Chartered Accountant eligible to do MBA or give CAT Exam without graduation?

No, because for cat exam you have to write the percentage of your graduate degree in the form of cat or any other exam of mba so it is not possible to do mba after CA, if you are pursuing CA then you can take any graduation degree from any distance course.

Re: Is a Chartered Accountant eligible to do MBA or give CAT Exam without graduation?

No it is not possible. MBA is a post graduation course.
And the pre requiste of any post graduation course is
    a graduation degree.
So you can only enroll in a MBA course if you have compleated
your graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
Normally Students who pursue CA also study Bcom private side by side,
    to fulfill this criterion.
So please enroll for a atleast a Bcom private course.

to join in MBA you have to write entrance exams like CAT TANCET. but eligibility for joining in MBA is a bachelors degree
